Backstory :

Bluekit was born to Runningflash and Frostedmind along with her younger sister Bloomingkit. 

Her parents were delighted, having always wanted kits. Bluekit and Bloomingkit got along very well and they were best friends. Bluekit’s life was quite nice. One day a warrior came back to camp, screaming about badgers and death and blood. The leader, Lionstar  took out a patrol of warriors to stop them. Runningflash went with them. But they failed. They got pushed back, all the way to camp. The Badgers swarmed into the camp, destroying everything. Frostedmind hid Bluekit and Bloomingkit in the back of the nursery before badgers got in. One badger did. It fought Frostedmind at the entrance to the nursery. Bloomingkit raced out to help her mother. The Warriors killed and drove off the Badgers in the end. But both Frostedmind and Bloomingkit fell that night. Only a few hours later, Bluekit found out that Runningflash had also died in the battle on the border. She was the last of her family. She knew some cats would throw themselves off cliffs when put on this situation. But Bluekit wanted to live. She turned cold and sour and turned away everycat that came to visit her in the nursery. Accepting only prey and water. No other kits were born that season so Bluekit was left well enough alone. 

When Bluekit reached the age of 6 moons she became an apprentice. Lionstar changed her name to Coldpaw and gave her the deputy, Ravenshadow, as her mentor. Soon after, Lionstar passed away and Ravenshadow became Ravenstar.
